Hydraulic diaphragm metering pump is a metering pump that combines the characteristics of plunger metering pump and diaphragm metering pump. The characteristic of this pump is that the part where the measured medium comes into contact with the medium is the diaphragm, while the driving part uses a hydraulic plunger.

1、 Principle

The hydraulic diaphragm metering pump adopts the working mode of diaphragm drive and hydraulic control. It consists of two working chambers, each with an elastic diaphragm connected to the inlet and outlet respectively. One of the chambers is called the supply chamber, and the other chamber is called the discharge chamber. By controlling the movement of components such as pistons, valves, and air valves through pneumatic or electric devices, periodic liquid supply and discharge processes can be achieved.

2、 Structure

It mainly includes several key components such as pump body, piston, valve, diaphragm, and driving device. The pump body is usually made of cast iron or stainless steel material, which has good corrosion resistance and sealing performance. The piston is a movable component inside the pump body that works in conjunction with valves to facilitate the flow of liquid in and out. Valves include suction valves and discharge valves, which are used to control the direction and flow rate of fluids. The diaphragm is made of elastic material and can separate the supply and discharge chambers, avoiding direct contact between the medium and the pump body. The driving device can be pneumatic, electric, or manual, used to drive the movement of pistons and valves.

3、 Working process

The working process of a hydraulic diaphragm metering pump can be divided into four steps: suction, compression, discharge, and reset.

1. Suction: When the piston moves backwards, the suction valve opens, creating a low-pressure area in the supply chamber to suck in liquid.

2. Compression: When the piston moves forward, the suction valve closes, compressing the liquid into the discharge chamber.

3. Discharge: When the piston continues to move forward, the discharge valve opens to discharge the compressed liquid.

4. Reset: When the piston moves backwards again, the discharge valve closes, creating a low-pressure area inside the pump body. The suction valve opens, preparing for the next cycle.

4、 Application Fields

Hydraulic diaphragm metering pumps have the advantages of simple structure, reliable operation, and applicability to various media, and are widely used in the following fields:

1. Chemical industry: used for transporting chemical media such as acids, alkalis, solvents, paints and coatings.

2. Petroleum industry: used for transporting crude oil, petroleum products, magma, etc.

3. Pharmaceutical industry: It is used to transport liquid medicine, lotion, fine chemicals, etc.

4. Food industry: used for conveying food additives, juice, beverages, etc.

5. Environmental engineering: used for transporting wastewater treatment, sludge treatment, etc.
